Call to Order

Mayor Basran called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m.

I would like to acknowledge that we are gathered today on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the syilx/Okanagan people.

Mayor Basran advised that the meeting is open to the public and all representations to Council form part of the public record.  A live audio and video feed is being broadcast and recorded by CastaNet and a delayed broadcast is shown on Shaw Cable.​

Confirmation of Minutes

Sieben application on Leader road, what gets sent to province is it just what the vote says.  3.1

A copy of meting minutes and staff and Agriclulturereports are sent.

Rationale why we were providing support this time and not others was not included in the minutes.  

Q - is it appropriate this time so ALC knows why we are supporting.  

CM - planning staff can provide Council comments to ALC.  

Singh - if shared with ALC CM - context is topic of discussion with staff and ALC

  AND THAT the Council directs Staff to forward the subject application to the Agricultural Land Commission for consideration.

  AND THAT the Rezoning Bylaw be forwarded to a Public Hearing for further consideration;

  AND THAT final adoption of the Rezoning Bylaw be considered subsequent to the outstanding conditions of approval as set out in Schedule “A” attached to the Report from the Development Planning Department dated September 9, 2019;

  AND FURTHER THAT final adoption of the Rezoning Bylaw be considered subsequent to the registration on the subject property of a Section 219 No Disturb Covenant to ensure the protection of steep slopes in the rear of the subject property as identified in Schedule “B”.

- mayor and counil new classrooms on lakeshore road.  was at Fire Hall with Wooldridge.  

- 55 plus games are in town, opening ceremony is Sept 11 at 7 p.m. encourage public go go

Councillor Given:

-UBCO Presentaion by the chief Admiinister officer, nature and role in city infrastructure.4:30 to 6:00 at UBCO  considering the valaue of trees and wetlands, etc. in municipal infrastructure.

Mayor Basran:

- 55 plus BC games, we are setting record for those participaintg.  4500.  tremendous kuso to David Graham and those involved inputting together his event.  looking forward to opening ceremony.
