Call to Order

The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:01 p.m.

Confirmation of Minutes

Old Business

3.1

Review Key Dates and TImeline for 47th Annual Award Season

Reviewed the venue being the Laurel Packinghouse.

Reviewed capacity of the venue in relation to the most recent public health announcements.

Reviewed announcement to be made in Council.

Reviewed the video production of nominees.

Discussed making sure the news worthiness of the announcements in the announcements.

Review Sponsorship Commitments

Staff provided outline of three new sponsorships

three new sponsors: McKay, Peter's Independence, XXX, Raymond James

All regular sponsors have also come back on board.

Thomas Bud Foundation will sign on as the event sponsor and the male and female athlete of the year.

4.1

Review Nominations Received

Staff reviewed the number of nominations received.

All categories have received nominations.

Discussion ensued regarding the nomination process.

Comment that it has been difficult to have corporate participation in nonprofit items.

5.

Upcoming Meeting Dates

Proposing March 14, 21, 2022 to Council and touching base with Committee March 17th 

First week of May for debrief meeting.

April 28th timing to be confirmed for the event.

Termination of Meeting

The Chair declared the meeting terminated at 12:39pm.
